Where Claims and Digital Health Connect - WLT and Welldoc Partner to Support AI-Driven Cardiometabolic Care

WLT Software and Welldoc Partner to Bring AI-Driven Cardiometabolic and GLP-1 Management to Self-Funded Plans

A new integrated claims-to-care solution helps TPAs and employers rein in chronic care and GLP-1 costs without adding administrative burden

CLEARWATER, FL — January 28, 2026 — WLT Software Enterprises today announced a strategic partnership with Welldoc®, an AI-powered digital health company specializing in cardiometabolic care. The collaboration brings together WLT’s benefits administration and claims adjudication platform with Welldoc’s clinically validated digital health solution, offering Third-Party Administrators and self-funded employers a more coordinated approach to managing chronic conditions and increasing GLP-1 utilization.

Employers continue to face growing pressure from rising cardiometabolic disease prevalence, escalating pharmacy spend, and fragmented care strategies that often fail to translate into sustainable cost control. The WLT and Welldoc partnership is designed to align clinical engagement with plan operations, enabling programs that are practical to deploy and scalable across diverse populations.

“In partnering with Welldoc, we are expanding how our platform supports cardiometabolic health across the full continuum of care,” said Shelley Van Etten, President and CEO of WLT Software. “This collaboration enables our clients to offer evidence-based digital support while preserving the efficiency and scalability required in today’s plan environment.”

Through the partnership, WLT clients gain access to the Welldoc App, an AI-driven digital health platform that integrates physical health support with mental well-being and behavioral guidance. The platform is designed to help members navigate complex conditions while reinforcing day-to-day health decisions across multiple points of care.

Key platform capabilities include:

  • Extensive Device and Data Connectivity: Integration with more than 400 devices and data sources, including pharmacy, laboratory, biometric, and wearable data, to support a comprehensive view of member health.
  • AI-Driven Personalized Coaching: Adaptive guidance that responds to individual data and engagement patterns, supporting daily decisions and sustainable behavior change.
  • GLP-1 Medication Support: Structured tools for dosing reminders, education around side effects, and guided check-ins to support adherence and safe use.
  • Guided Weight Management Programs: Week-by-week journeys supported by AI-enabled tracking that help members build knowledge, maintain motivation, and progress over time.
  • Lifestyle and Nutrition Resources: Clinically validated content, meal planning tools, recipe inspiration, and integrated grocery ordering designed to reduce friction and improve engagement.

“WLT’s strength in claims administration combined with Welldoc’s clinically proven digital health platform creates a practical model for supporting members with complex conditions while aligning care delivery with plan operations,” said Rick Scheel, Vice President of Sales at Welldoc.

Welldoc’s clinical results demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach. Data show an average 8.4 percent weight loss at six months across users, regardless of starting BMI.¹ Additional research estimates $1,527 in cost savings per participant at the six-month mark without the use of GLP-1 medications.² These findings highlight the value of addressing cardiometabolic risk earlier through structured digital support.

Operational integration remains a defining feature of the partnership. Welldoc services are billable through standard HCFA 1500 claims and can be auto-adjudicated within WLT’s platform, allowing TPAs to introduce clinically robust digital health programs without additional administrative effort, manual processing, or workflow disruption.

As needs continue to evolve, the collaboration positions both organizations to support more integrated and sustainable approaches to employer-sponsored care.
